Client Projects — Privacy Policy

Client Projects is a Wix app that lets a business share a private status page with each client: the stages of the project, a checklist of what is needed from the client, messages per stage, and a dated log of what happened. This policy describes exactly what data the app touches, where it lives, and how to make it disappear.

Where your data lives

The app runs entirely on Wix's infrastructure. We operate no servers and no databases of our own. Projects, stages, checklist items, messages and activity entries are stored in collections inside the site owner's own Wix CMS, and every file a client uploads is stored directly in the site owner's Wix Media Manager, inside a "Client Projects" folder. Nothing passes through or rests on any system we control.

What the app processes

• Projects: a title, an optional welcome message and target date, an optional client name and email address, an optional password, a status, a "what happens next" line, and a share token.
• Stages and checklist items: the names, order and status the site owner sets, and for each item whether the client marked it done, the link it points to, or the file uploaded for it.
• Client input: the name a client types when acting on the page, the messages they leave on a stage, and the files they upload. Files are stored only in the site owner's Media Manager.
• Activity log: dated entries describing what changed (for example "client uploaded a file" or "stage marked done"), so both sides can see the history.
• The project page address: the public URL of the page hosting the widget, detected once so share links can be built automatically, and an optional business display name. Both are visible and editable in the dashboard.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share data with third parties.
• We do not use data for advertising or profiling.
• We do not send email on anyone's behalf — sharing a project link happens through the site owner's own mail or messaging app.
• We do not collect payment details — billing is handled by Wix.
• We do not copy files anywhere; they stay in the site's Media Manager and are served by Wix's media platform.

Deleting data

Deleting a project in the dashboard permanently deletes the project record together with its stages, checklist items, messages and activity entries. Uploaded files are never deleted by the app — they remain in the site's Media Manager under the site owner's full control. Uninstalling the app removes the app's collections according to Wix's standard app-data lifecycle.
