Selects: Client Gallery — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Selects is a Wix app that lets photographers share password-protected proofing galleries with their clients. This policy describes exactly what data the app touches, where it lives, and how to make it disappear.
Where your data lives
The app runs entirely on Wix's infrastructure. We operate no servers and no databases of our own. Galleries, client selections and comments are stored in collections inside the site owner's own Wix CMS, and gallery photos are the images already stored in the site owner's Wix Media Manager. Nothing passes through or rests on any system we control.
What the app processes
- Galleries: a title, a share token, an optional password, display settings, and references to photos in the site owner's Media Manager.
- Client selections: the photos a gallery visitor marks as favorites, any comments they type, and the name they choose to enter (a name is optional; no account is required).
- The gallery page address: the public URL of the page hosting the gallery widget, detected once so share links can be built automatically. It is visible and editable in the dashboard.
- A local draft: a visitor's in-progress picks are kept in their own browser's storage so closing the tab does not lose them. This never leaves their device until they press Send.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share data with third parties.
- We do not use data for advertising or profiling.
- We do not collect payment details — billing is handled by Wix.
- We do not copy photos anywhere; they stay in the site's Media Manager and are served by Wix's media platform.
Deleting data
Deleting a gallery in the dashboard permanently deletes the gallery record and every client selection attached to it. Uninstalling the app removes the app's collections according to Wix's standard app-data lifecycle. Photos are never deleted by the app — they remain in the site's Media Manager, untouched.
