Curbcut Terms of Service
Last updated: August 20, 2026
What Curbcut does
Curbcut audits your Shopify theme's source code for accessibility defects measured against WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA, proposes specific code corrections, verifies each corrected file structurally before offering it, and — where you choose to apply a fix — backs up the affected file immediately beforehand so the change can be reversed. Your use of the results, including whether to apply any fix, is always your decision.
What Curbcut is not
Curbcut does not and cannot guarantee legal compliance, and does not guarantee protection from lawsuits, demand letters, or regulatory action. No automated tool can determine legal compliance. Automated analysis detects a substantial portion of accessibility defects but not all of them; full conformance additionally requires manual review and testing with assistive technologies. Curbcut finds real defects, fixes them, and documents the effort — it does not certify the outcome, and any vendor claiming otherwise should be treated with caution.
Your responsibilities
- Review proposed fixes before applying them. Corrections are generated with the help of artificial intelligence and, like any automated output, can contain errors; each fix is validated structurally, but you remain responsible for what runs on your store.
- Fixes marked as needing your input require information only you have (for example, what a product photo depicts).
- Keep your own theme backups as part of normal store practice. Curbcut's pre-apply backups are a safety layer, not a replacement for yours.
Your theme stays yours
Your theme code, including any corrections you apply through Curbcut, belongs to you. Curbcut claims no ownership of your store's code or content.
Billing
Curbcut is billed through Shopify at US$149 per 30 days after a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime by uninstalling the app; billing stops per Shopify's app billing rules, and charges already incurred are not prorated or refunded except where Shopify's billing policies or applicable law require otherwise.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service for abuse, attempts to interfere with its operation, or non-payment. You can end the agreement at any time by uninstalling the app.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curbcut's total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind beyond those stated here.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect, and continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the competent courts there — except where the mandatory consumer or commercial law of your own jurisdiction applies and cannot be waived.
